i bought a second hand devon interior, including a 3/4 r & r bed. when the bed is in the seat position, the back slips down or the seat slips backwards. it almost seems as though the edges of the two cushions should be just touching, not resting on one another.
I've thought about velcro, but in my experience the self adhesive stuff always comes away leaving nasty sticky patches ( )
any other ideas peeps?

We're in the stickiest situation since Sticky the Stick Insect got stuck on a sticky bun. -hmmmmm
i could on the cushion side but i'd need a damn big needle to get through the wood on the bed!!
i spose i could use super glue on the wood, but how strong is the stuff that you can buy from haberdashery places? it looks very flimsy to me - if i could get super wide, super strong velcro it'd work

you can always screw or staple the velcro to the wood. another option is to sew ties on to the cussions and secure them to the bed that way! in ours i've got the whole of the rnr bed boards and then velcro sewn to the cussions!
devons normally have cord carpet on the wooden bed base, the spikey half of velcro sticks nicely to the cord carpet, sew some of that onto the cushions.......

thanks, i might see if i can get a cheepie bit of carpet. it makes sense that the cushion should grip to something.
gonna google "huge fat velcro" later too - but i have a feeling that it will bring up some 'specialist' sites!

I don't have carpet nor velcro and my cushions don't slip but I think it is because the back cushion always sits behing the front one which can not move has has wire bits to stop it...blimey am I making sense
