Blue Bird Custom ss exhaust
Has anyone got one of there exhausts? What's it like?
Have you seen him?
I have one on my T25 wasserboxer. My garage fitted it and said it was quite difficult to fit - pipes not matching up. It looks the business though.
Also note that you will lose the carburettor air preheating because the Bluebird pipes don't have the fittings. Most people don't worry about it because the UK is a mild climate.

I also have fitted a Bluebird Stainless Steel two pipe system.
I agree, well made, easy to fit and only slightly louder than standard.Helps motor "breathe" slightly better too,as standard silencer is pretty restrictive. No alteration of mixture evident, although my engine always runs slightly rich.I set it up so,as richer is always better than too lean in air coled lumps!!
No problems with last MOT either.
Can recommend them but have not got full system fitted only tailpipes.
Regards

actually on a dyno the stock box flows very well. much better than some empi stuff!
however back to topic i had the single quiet pack thing from bluebird on my last Aircooled wedge and it looked good flowed well but was bloody loud, so loud in fact i couldnt hear my dells over it.
so it came off and a stock box went back on.

i have a full bluebird ss system on my t25 syncro. it was a bit of a bugger to fit but i got there and it's been on 6months now with no problems. i've only bracketed it at the box cause i thought those tight turns in a stainless pipe would need plenty of expansion room and it seems to be fine. although i am considering making one for the cast 3 way knuckle cause that seems to be vibrating quite a bit.
