LED interior lights

Post by Sir Chad »

Just fitted these, 96p from from Maplin :D
Got 2 of them, fairly easy to fit, just had to jigsaw the holes in the panel, i had to find some slightly longer M4 screws for the stainless faceplate.
Don't worry if the lights say 12VAC just means they've got a bridge rectifier in them, which in english means it doesn't matter which way round you wire them to DC.
Copied the idea off skell, that's another beer I owe him.

to be honest when i saw the price i thought they had made a mistake.

they look good at night, the light isn't as 'warm' as normal bulbs but it uses next to no power.

BusTards! Everyone wants to rape us on LED prices. I'm wanting to change most of our interior lights to LED, but can't find any at resonable price.

oh yeah cos when you go to ikea you can just "wonder round" the lighting dept, before being hearded into some other dept and made to endure 3 hours of the wife going "oh i like that" and "we could do with one of these"

ikea lights are good, andquite a few in broken boxes for extra discount  but if you wanna go go at 9m on a week night on your own!
