I is a 1.9 dg,
re previous post bad omen posts - firstly thanks too all that pointed me to the fuel pump, got that done.
In a short test drive afterwards, the temporary repair ( gaffer and jubillee clip) on the oil breather seemed to disentegrate. Possibly unrelated, I don't know?
Hot oil shower treatment in the engine bay. Lovely.
Got these parts replaced job done done.
Now will drive a couple of miles , maybe less, then starts getting sluggish losing revs then dies, no warning lights etc coming on.
If left alone will restart perfectly ( or as close as bob does ) and drive again for aforementioned couple of miles before getting weary once more.................................................
Thanks
Dougal

when it has stopped, after the two miles, pop the petrol cap off, is there are vacume and hisss?
sounds like fuel starvation to me, have you replaced the filter near the fuel tank outlet( and made sure you only have one fuel filter?

Still a 1.9 dg and its blue!
took it for another wee run , tried the petrol cap for vacumn and hiss, nothing noticeable.
Previously I replaced the fuel pump ( the top nozzle was larger so I used 8mm petrol pipe instead of the 6 that was on it) . not sure if this relevant.
The fuel filter wasn't replaced.
As far as I'm aware have only one filter. What are the issues with two?
Van did make it Edinburgh - Cardiff and back last year with the two if it has?
Thanks Again
