Increasing Revs when warm...

Posting this for my friend with a van...

Hi all,

Having problems with my T3. When its cold it idles fine, but after the engine warms up the revs creep up and get higher and higher to the point of after 30 mins or so its idling at about 4000rpm!

Ive actually added a return spring to pull it back to close, and this worked for a while, but i got they same high revving symptoms again now?

Any ideas what it could be?

any mods done to it?
was it the original engine in the vehicle or a swap over?
