Doka-trailing arms

Post by Chilla »

wish i hadn't power washed them !!

the dirt was hiding some nice perforations along the outer seam so I guess its time to think about changing them.
Questions - Im guessing the syncro 14 is the same as a standard T25, please correct if wrong.
Wheres the best place to buy them and whats the likely damage?
cheers all

14" and 2wd are the same, you should be able to get some decent ones secondhand, prices of shiney ones will make you cry.

If that's the only place they are rusty, can they not be refurbished with a good grind away, plating over and welding (removing them can be a right pain, allegedly)...

Clean thoroughly inside and Waxoyl... also check corrosion a round the spring support 'teats', 'breasticles' or whatver they are called..

HarryMann- Did the refurb way, cut out all the groggy bits and welded in new plates. Seemed to make sense rather than take them off my scrappers and refit. Took about 3hrs total and got to use my mates new plasma cutter....oh the joy! gonna get me one of them toys yes siree.
