T25 1981 PETROL TWIN CARB HAS BEGUN STALLING

ANY IDEAS WHY VAN HAS BEGUN TO STALL...DOES NOT HAPPEN ALL THE TIME BUT BECOMING MORE FREQUENT..I CAN'T SEE OBVIOUS REASON ENGINE SEEMS OK...ANY SUGGESTIONS?

SORRY TO BE THICK LADY DRIVER...

Someone has to drive thick ladies!

Check the rubber elbow and tee pieces at the base of the manifolds.

Have a closer look at all small airlines and vaccum hoses, could have a small crack/hole in them letting in air. Check spark plugs and possibly change HT (spark plug) leads from coil to distributor and from distributor to spark plugs. They can start to break down and will cause problems espicially in cold/damp weather.
Is it stalling just after being started or after a while of running?

Fuel pump pushrod wearing down allowing for erratic fuel supply .....
ie. enough for shortish pootles about town but when opening it up the engine uses up all the reserves in the carb bodies

If you have got a 2.0 litre Aircooled (with twin Solex 34 PDSIT-2/3 caburettors) van, then have a look at the bigger short hoses at the front of the engine bay (where the carburettors are joined together by a big metal pipe). These can also cause uneven running and stalling problems.
