Theyre a load of sh!te and make a lot of noise for the tiny amount of heat they put out.

I agree dont waste the money or if you do by some candles, they are more efficient.

i av a little mini fan heater and light that swivels round n plugs in to cig lighter on mine - seems to wotk ok - instant burst of heat n light -
Owner of a red T25 fixed hi top campervan - colour - spikey red - petrol - water cooled - 1.9 dg engine rhd - 1990 g reg n still going strong!-

I spent a tenner on a 12v one, a bit of a waste, no good for heating much beyond 6" infront of the heater.

Agree with other posts. No good really. Think of it this way... If you compare the size of the fan in the electric heater to the size of the fan that supplies hot (ok, luke warm!) air to the windscreen and the rest of the van, theres a reason the van one is a bit bigger!
Suppose you could use it under a duvet to keep your toes warm!

I bought one from Maplins a couple of months ago. Yes it is small and only puts out a little bit of heat, but I use it when the window is misted up on the inside to help it clear a bit quicker in front of me. Don't expect a massive burst of powerful heat that'll blow your wig off and you'll be ok. If you expect it to heat up the van, forget it. A bit of a tip though, I just jam mine into place cos if I screwed it in it might look like something stealable - satnav - to an inbred scrote.
