Hello just wondering where would be the best place to get a new starter motor any help greatly appreciated, cheers

You could also consider getting your starter motor reconned at a local place where smaller garages send their stuff. :)

That's what I did. I took my van into a garage in Bolton & the mechanic took the starter off, had it reconned locally & refitted it the same day. The price was £65.00. :D

check all your earth straps are clean and touching bare metal before forking out the hard earned squids for another starter, i nearly made that mistake :roll:

Are all Air cooled starter motors the same, would one from lets say a 1200cc fit a 1600cc?

As I think I have fried mine today, after trying to fire up a replacement engine
