Saab 9000 leather seats, where do you put heater control?

Post by marcus_asparagus »

Hi all, first post so be gentle.

Just fitted some awsomely comfy Saab leather seats in the van ( more ideas nicked from here! ) and was wondering if it is worth wiring up the heater?

And if so where do you guys fit the thing it looks kind of a big square block so difficult to hide/place easily?

Oh and any tips on wiring it, I have a leisure battery under passenger seat so each seat would be wired to a different battery so no cables strewn around cab area.

All suggestions welcome...........And many thanks to all who have helped me so far, my van would not look as good as it does now if not for you lot! :D

Hi, I have just fitted some of these to my van, they're fantastic! As for the heater control, I havn't fitted it as yet but have fitted a seperate illuminated push-button switch with relay to control the heated seat.
They don't seen to get too hot but obviously the heater control with seat thermostatic sensor wired in would be better.
One place I could mention to wire in the switch without wires running everywhere would be on the side of the original seat runners eg. near the hand brake lever and the same on the passanger seat.
How to fix it in place would be your choice but it's an idea anyway!

Welcome to the club by the way! :D
