brake squeel

Post by lhd »

Since the after Bashtie last year my brakes have started squeeling, now they work fine but as soon as they get used a bit they start squeeling.
As soon as they cool back down they are fine.
Do you think I may have glazed the pads whilst slowing down from all them hills in cornwall.
I did notice this started at the end of the after bashtie, and towards the end of the trip the brakes when sqeeling seemed to be lacking.
many thanks.

Also a small hacksaw cut across the pads can cut down squeal, especially if pads are glazed. The above advice is your best first attempt at a cure though!
