i agree. if someones determined enough they will find a way to nick it.all we can do is try to slow them down.and an alarm going off will deter most. hopefully...

Either buy yourself a removable steering wheel, or simply take all the wheels of it each time you park it up.......

I've thought about the wheel thing, those square wheels that caravaners use in the winter. You have to be careful with a syncro though, I believe if you drive it with a mix of aquare and round it'll wind up the VC.

There have to be loads of electrical and a few mechanical ways of imobilising any van short of taking the wheels off, that combined with a loud alarm should put off most potential fushing fiefs. You want to take on board all the "it's dead easy" advice you can get and then come up with something else in the hope that it wont be spotted.

As some car show on the box last night pointed out and as we have all known for years there is an excelent chance that you pride and joy is worth far more as assorted parts than it is as a runner and if someone wants it chances are they are going to have it (esp with syncros IMHO).

Make sure it's proper insured, do something to put off the tossers and enjoy it as much as you can while you still got it.

I can't afford an immobilizer
How easy/moderate/hard would the immobilizer be to fit?
