What's the best way to prevent my Syncro getting nicked?

Post by mud »

I bought my Syncro nearly a year ago and having chucked money and time at it I'm starting to wonder how long it's going to be before someone nicks it?

I can't afford an immobilizer but want to make sure it's as hard as possible for anyone to take. What are the best measures to take?
wheel clamps are a bit ott, steering wheel locks? nifty wiring or a hidden cut off for the fuel line?

any ideas please? the more ingenious the better

Difficult to give advice on this on an open forum, as I was reminded when I suggested a tips guide a while ago.

Drive it every day.
If you leave anything stationary for more than 24 hours around here things tend to dissapear.

my mate wired the ignition to his ashtray in his capri, so the car would only run if the ashtray was closed, everytime he parked he simply opened the ashtray. :)

I've got (now working) central locking on my cara. Would love to have remote locking with alarm/immobiliser. Anyone done this? Expensive? DIY'able? Suggestions?

Amazing! How can they sell that for £15 & built in the EU.

Anyone fitted something like this? Is it straight forward or a total nightmare?
