I would steer clear of the GSF ones, they have cought me out recently.
I have sent back all my 2WD GSF bearings that I stocked, as they don't last.
Only ones I am still using from GSF are the syncro front ones as they seem to be a different manufacturer to the others.
The kit isn't overly expensive from VW, I would be tempted to go that route.

One of my GSF Wheel bearings collapsed while on Holiday in France.
The original VW bearing lasted 20 years a little bit of play,
GSF lasted a little over a year.
I complained
They said they had never had any complaints
And Simon Baxter buys loads of them. !!!!!!!
I insisted that they sent it to Head office for analysis
Bet they put it in there bin
More and More of GSF stuff is crap
Don't know how Simon can spend so much money at GSF
Theres not much left thats worth buying.

So how expencive are the genuine ones from VW? Any rough ideas?

I've got a rumbleing rear bearing that needs changing but don't want something that'll fail again instantly.
Anyone know what the bearings are? There should be a code on the side of them that a quality bearing maker will understand. That can often be quite a cheep way of getting a bearing and you know it won't be cheeply made foren rubish from a motorfactor. Got to know exactly what you want first though as they won't have a clue what a "VW T3 rear bearing" is.

The problem with rear bearings seems to be that the bearing housing wears, so the inner bearing isn't held as tight as it should be.
I seem to be changing a lot of rears recently and all on syncros.
The inner bearing can almost be dropped into place.
You will tell if the bearing has been spinning as the outer race of the old inner bearing will be blackened and marked whene it has been moving.
If you are considering changing the rears buy some bearing fit before you strip it all down to find that your inner is as slack as a dick in a welly top.
2WD's don't seem to suffer like this.
Febi kits are good, GSF are dog sh!t.
