Can't find reverse! Help! Was id-10-t error

Post by lloyd »

Just installed Si's quickshift kit and can't find reverse. 1/2 & 3/4 are fine, but cant get into reverse. Searched wiki and forum and find nothing.

It's wierd... shifter lifts slightly in neutral gate as it reachs 1/2 side from 3/4... and no amount of fiddling around will get it to go farther left in neutral slot for reverse.

Was working fine before installing quickshift so has to be something I did while installing it.

It's an 88, 1.9wbx, 4speed box.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Lloyd

All gears ok now?

Does it make a big difference or do you still turn the radio off hitting 3rd?

tomanytoys, All sorted.

The_blue, A little egg on my face, but that's all. Yes it makes a big difference and is easy to install. Hardest part is drilling the new depression for retention ring grub screw. I center punched it before drilling.
