Wiring / Elec Probs 86 camper ex panel..!!

A Friend has an 86 panel van 1.9dg

Fuse 13 blown ( heater fan? )is this correct?
put mew fuse in turned ignition on and washers on windscreen worked on their own, then blew fuse again after burnin smell behind dash...
Any ideas?
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for this van 86 panel 1.9dg...
I have an old Aircooled diagram but they are different arent they?
Please help..

could be a dodgy earth or loose connection - but hopefully Mocki or alike will turn upo with decent advice

Your mate needs a copy of Haynes manual for wiring diagram for DG, or Russek. I sold my spare copy at Bustypes last year, pretty woman flashed some cleavage and talked me down to £6.30 !!! : )

assuming this 86 van has got a late fuseboard, fuse 13 is the heaterfan, BUT fuse 11 is the wipers/ waterpump , so there is some notgoodness happening, more than likely a rewiring job to make the washer pump work....which is common when it looses it feed, there is a spare tag on fuse 13 ....

dont have the bently on this pc atm, so cannot add pics of it, sorry

First stop Haynes to get diagram and take it from there..
What rating should fuse 13 be please?

Haynes says fuse 13 is 20Amp.
