Vehicle battery replacement

Post by High Peaker »

I need to replace my main battery, as even parking with sidelights on for 30 mins flattens it.
As the current one is unlikely to be original, or even correct, what capacity and cranking current should I be looking for?
It is a 1.9 petrol water cooled.

Thanks all.

A code 096 will fit the battery compartment available from most motor factors at around £60

Try battery man on ebay about £48.00 delivered for a 65ah that fits under the seat with the westy flap closed.
search for leisure batteries it will be easier to find him.
or phone on.

What ever size it is, i would suggest getting a calcium jobby from halfords, there a bit more like £10 more, they handal a lot more crap then standard ones. also five year warenty, lot easyer to swap then getting one of ebay.

i have to agree, a calcium one would be better, but dont pay halfwits prices, go to a motor factors or tyre and exhaust place.
still get the warrenty, but not the moronic questions and high price.imo
