Van wont fire up ( continued ) !!!!!

Thank you for all your help over my previous post as to the reason my poor van would not run
Having checked the starter the solenoid the ignition switch (had to take all that to bits to change the switch) having had friends and family rip my van to bits to find out why 12v was not getting to the starter !!!!!!

could i just say " have a look if the previous owner fitted an Immobiliser in the glove box that could be accidentally switched off will save you a lot of embarrassment and hard work"
I am now going to lock myself away for 6 weeks as i just cant show my face in public

Don't be too hard on your self. Ask how many motorcyclists have failed to start their bikes due to the kill switch being off. Of course its never happened to me, no Sir, not that i'd admit it if it had like.

did the same thing myself with a new van.

Had to do some engine work and once sorted i couldn't get it started.

Turned out there was a home made immobiliser fitted.

Always pays to follow the multimeter
