If you bought the villa 3 from your previous listings what's with the full rebuild. As jed said sleep in it, cook in it, have fun with it as things will invariable break along the way then fix em. Life's too short
As for the heater, they run and run but if it's peace of mind get it checked by a corgi.

Simple enough,
If it hasn't been run for a while or if your are unsure
check the electrical connections where they go into the heater espesialy if the heater is under the van as some converters used to put them there
Turn the gas on and follow the gas pipe and at each connector put some washing up liguid at each joint if it bubbles ,you have a leak so tighten it
If not bingo turn the heater on and enjoy

As well as the washing up liquid trick on the connection to the propex (although this is in the back corner of the most inaccessible cupboard since innacessable cupboards were invented by Autoleeper - on my back with a mirror and a torch......)- I got an LPG detector (12v) that I have wired into the Leisure battery - turn it on at night (just in case there is a leak from anywhere).
tis a belt and braces/piece of mind approach as if I suspect anything wrong I will go to the local caravan centre to get it checked out
