Just Bought My SCOOBY

Ha, just to say last night I bought my scooby which is gonna be the donor car, its a 2.2 legacy non turbo 100k with loads of service. And its sweet runs so nicely I couldnt be happyer. It almost seams a shame to scrap what is still a very nice car! oh well lol

cool you'll love it when its in same as mine mmmmmmmmmmm!!! Do as i did tho and sell as much of whats left, like gearbox, wheels, seats, shell etc and if they dont sell weigh it in at the moment its £90 a tonne for general scrap!!!

Major work started this weekend, had the engine and wiring out of the scooby, and the engine and gearbox out the bus, just got to strip the lumb down and send it off to Rjes along with the coolent manifold and from bracket for the gearbox!

There is a subaru engine mounted in my van connected up to the gear box!!!!!

anything else is just trivial, such as no water cooling, electrics, exhaust, fuel system....

Ha I have been waiting a long time to be able to say that though!!

It took me about a day from getting a scrap legacy to fitting the engine it took me over 2 weeks of few hours here and there to get the rest done!!!!! good luck who's doing the electrics for you?

Rjes is doing the electrics should be with me one day this week and should have everything I need by next week! So should be working withing 3 to 4 weeks

Could you take a pic of how it mounts ?? I made up my own and used the original subaru ones plus i made the exhaust, air intake, loom, acc cable, actually not much i didnt make my self!!!

The plan was to put the lambda in the straight section on the nearside, I assumed it would have one. Daft as it sounds I now can't find either the lambda sensor or a plug in my loom to attach one to. (I didn't strip it out I bought it as parts). I'll have to check if the earliest pre92 engines had one fitted? Where does your lamda plug join the loom?
The boss is just like a big nut that you weld on top of a hole in the pipe. Here's a pic of one I've welded in the exhaust I made for my kit car so I could fit a wideband lambda.[IMG]http://i253.photobucket.com/albums/hh74 ... CF0024.jpg[/img]
The lambda should be above 3 or 9 o clock in the pipe, they don't like to sit in condensate.
