Re-wiring engine

Got electrical problems with my engine. (https://club8090.co.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?t=28989).

There has been a load of bodges done over the years and I was thinking that I might completely re-wire the engine bay etc. Any tips and any idea where I can get a wiring diagram for a 1.6td?

Could buy just the engine bay loom from VW, will then just plug in to everything that matters. Will run from the black plastic relay/junction box back.
