Fuel filler neck leaking

Post by Other-Power »

Hi all,

I recently took the filler neck out to do some welding around the pillar.

I fitted the filler neck back in and went on my merry way, i filled the tank up to the top and promptly lost the contense of the filler neck on the floor.

I assume its the rubber bit leaking between the bottom of the filler neck and the fuel tank

I have had a look at the bently manual and there is no jubily clip or similar to tighten. What would be the best way to stop the leak? im sure someone else must have had the same problem at some time or another?

Its a diesel if that makes much difference?

Many thanks

Jon

you can change the tank seal with the tank in place.
you have to remove the filler neck then just pull the seal out, then refit the new one (2 sizes depending on year of the bus) its a fiddle but possible
