Good VW workshop in the Beds area

Post by javawolf »

Does anyone know of a good VW shop who would be able to have a look at the fueling/running issues I am having with my 1982 2.0 A/C Westie. I have tried everything and can not get it running correctly so I need someone who knows what they are doing.

The van runs but is very rough in the mid range and will not idle correctly.

I am in Flitwick which is mid beds so a garage in Milton Keynes or Stevenage areas would be good too. I can drive the van but would not want to do so for more than 30 miles in the current state.

Thanks JW.

There is a place just south of Leighton Buzzard at Eaton Bray. I have not used them but my neighbour speaks well of them (he has an 86 DoKa).

WA Autos, 16 The Rye, Eaton Bray LU6 2BQ 01525 222223

Not easy to find as it is tucked away behind houses and they are not allowed a sign out front!

They appear to do quite a bit of work on both water & Aircooled vehicles.

Hope this helps

I've used them. They have recently done a lot of work on my air cooled including re-building the carbs and setting them up properly. They are very reasonable too. Ask for Wayne
