All right then, I've been meening to post this topic for some time but got way laid doing other things to van.
After sending van into garage to get work done I had a phone call frpm them to say the power steering pipes had broke!!!!.

Was the fact they had been working in the area of pipes or did the just fail??????
Anyway loads of info from site members led me in the right direction

, well the mechanic had no idea where to get them! again I was puzzled? how do these guy's make a living

???? After much chasing around, phone calls etc, and collecting old pipes from mechanic, thank god he never threw them out when he took them off. So I headed off to get the new replacements (taking old pipes with me, just incase!) while mechanic twiddled his thumbs, By this time I think he was a bit embarrased.
So,I got the pipes made from Pirtek, used hydraulic hose's (re-inforced)with original end fittings. asked them if ends fail could they remake them? "not a problem" these guys where situated in Poole/ dorset and where really helpful.
Many more Pirtek shops through-out country.
Hope this was either amusing/interesting or helpful for someone
