Sorry, I was away from home I took some holidays...

My friend called me from the shop and told me it was AHU and it was 38/7... I really don't know if AHU was from a 14" Syncro or maybe a 16"...

AHU is from a 16", but the only difference is the speedo drive ratio otherwise it is the same as as the ADH which is fitted to the 14" and would have been original fitment on yours if yours originally had diff lock at front.
I can send you a non difflock 38/7 call me if interested

Well,

It's hard to find that front diff... someone told me we can use a 14" Syncro front diff and then change the flanges or so... is that right?

It is a real problem to have that van parked in the street... there are a lot of spider nets and the owner is getting sick because of it...

We need help.

TIA

there is no need to swap flanges as the front ones are the same on both 14 and 16" front diffs so any 38/7 front diff will work, 6N, ADM, AHU or AHT, just swap over the speedo drives to keep your same speedo reading.

Myself and others I know deal with CJ and none of us have any problems with service... If he's not off playing. You posted 10/12/07 and didn't post back until 4/1/08 after Beaker posted. Considering it was holiday season, would have been nice to just ask CJ nicely if he had recieved your messages.

Understood understood, I knew that, but call to you by phone to ask if you still sell the front diff is useless, like my spoken english, sometimes I feel shame and it's hard to understand an english guy 4me, and internet is cheaper. Don't think I am desperate about that diff, and I am not in a hurry, is just for my friend, and he needs it as soon as possible.

Thanks for your answer.

Hello again,

Please can you tell me if AHU and ADH are both the same ratio? 34/7 or 38/7? Maybe I can get a second hand unit here in the Canaries...

TIA.

I believe they are different, 38/7 and 34/7

Due to making mistakes when reading the Diff codes, you should always quote your transaxle (gearbox) code as well, as this is what it has to match up to..

So...

is this a genuine 16" Syncro (as you seem to suggest it has a 16" front diff) ??

What is the transaxle code of thsi vehicle?

This might help, from Syncronauts website:
