Thermostat housing

Post by Nicola&Tony »

Hi, does anyone know if the thermostat housing for an early DG engine is still available from VW and how much it's likely to cost? Part no. is 025 121 117 C. If no longer available, suggestions for alternative suppliers would be helpful. Can't find it on GSF website.

Thanks

Tony :)

I think the black one is the later plastic housing, but it's the early metal one that we've got. It bolts onto left hand side of the water pump. I'll post a photo in a couple of mins, once I've uploaded it.

Here's the blighter . . . he doesn't like to part with his bolts on account of their rusty, seized-up manner! The blue cap on the header tank is in the bottom left corner.
