Auto Box Knowledge
I'm trying to put a water cooled auto box onto my Aircooled Westy, and everything is the same except for the oil cooler on the back of water cooled box. This is going to foul the chassis big time so I'm thinking of taking it off and just blanking up the holes. The question is, is it part of the pump circuit and still needing to be connected-ie,bridged with a pipe-or can I just blank off the holes? I imagine on a watercooled chassis, the gearbox cross member is about 3" further forward to avoid this problem. It's a real shame 'cos I wanted an oil cooler on it anyway. Anyone help please?

Think this was mentioned a little while back but if I remember rightly you can just blank off the holes and bolt it on. I'll see if I can find the thread. Hang on...
