Sliding door u-bracket

Post by asahartz »

I was wondering about the action of the rear slide. The U-bracket seems to turn too far, beyond 90 degrees to the slide. with the result that the inside of the door panel rubs along the outside of the slide cover - not good for white vinyl!

Is there something that should restrict how far it turns, and if so, is it repairable?

white vinyl!
Are you mad.......
I think its a cam that stops the bracket from rotating too far but I cant remember....
Is it the early ot late type as 84 is right on the change-over?
I would guess though that if the top and bottom slider.roller is ok then it must be the bracket mech....
I bought mine new for £15 delivered from Germany....
Saying that though the interior carpet on my brothers slider is worn due to this.........
