New clear indicator wiring

Post by nesty »

I have brought a new set of new clear indicators for my T25. They are the ones that have an additional inbuilt sidelight and wires coming out of the back.

Where do I attach these additional sidelight wires. Is it at the back of the headlight, or have to splice them in to the loom?

you can connetc into the back of the light be easier but thing you have to think about is weather you want them to come on with either the side or full beam??

I want them to come on with sidelights as well as main (dipped) beam. I haven't inspected them fully yet. I assume they have orange side bulbs in then!

connect them to your existing sidelight power supply by any means you see fit.

then they will be lit with the headlight and main.

change the little oronge bulb in the light for a clear one...

No they ain't.

The side light wires, one live, one earth, earth is brown.

The wires from the indicators, doesn't matter which way 'round you connect them, they don't go anywhere near the body of the van and are in rubber plugs for want of a better word, reversing the polarity doesn't matter a sh!t.

I like the orange bulbs they are supplied with personally, but if you want to swap for clear bulbs you need a 5w capless "wedge base" bulb, known in the trade as a 501.
