1y 1.9 diesel doner

Sorry I have searched here and the brick yard without any luck, is there a list of cars that have 1y's fitted as this seems to be the most straightforward replacement for my 1.6 normally aspirated diesel, thanks

I asked the same question myself!

Phone up your local scrappy rather than go on ebay - a lot cheaper.

Basically, the 1Y is in early 90's VW's, Seats, Audi's and probably something else...

Mine is out of a Seat Ibiza.

Golf 3 or vento is the most likely or a seat toledo. Don't be fooled by an AEF in a polo they are "pooh"

I have now thanks, I did not think to look for a whole car I have been looking for just engines, that one is a bit far to tow back but thanks for the idea

just to add chaps, is the 1Y engine a direct replacement for an ADG 1.9 diesel engine?
