cos its a diesel?

I have a 1.6 TD JX, and it smokes on start up, and also when driving. But it has clean emissons for MoT. I just keep looking forward....

Could be anything from warn and leaking injectors through to a cracked head that seals up with heat.

Tell us what you've done with the vehicle servicing-wise in the past year and whether you've made any changes to it in that period and we might be able to help some more.

Yea mine is fine on emissons and i try to look forward. As for servicing just the filters oil and cam belt. One other thing it was i a bodyshop for a month being started moved 20 meters then stoped when i picked it up and drove it away the smoke was really bad i mean really really bad but it still cleared when hot so there was a build up somewhere but i dont know where. Any ideas. Thanks Simon

Get it 'sniffed' by a professnial person with a CO tester to check for head gasket leaks etc.

There is a specialist in B'ham in Digbeth, end of the road from Borsch Electrics - haven't got details handy (ie. my desk is a mess  )
