VERY strange electrical problem

Post by skyeten »

Hello
My 87 Autohomes t25 with AAZ 1.9td conversion has developed a weird electrical fault..... when the handbrake is operated the wipers speed up and the fuel gauge drops also a clicking noise comes from the fuse box area and the glow plug light comes on (sometimes). Its nothing to do with the handbrake warning light as I have isolated this. Any ideas welcomed.....
Thanks

its almost certainly a bad earth, or a damaged cable.......

check the earth point behind the fusebox, and check the relays for corrosion....

while your under there check for dampness caused by windowscreen leakage, which is very common.....
