Big lumps of metals and spanners.

Where can I buy carb bushings from?

Post by Taipan »

Hi All
My 2.0 air cool carbs have slight play (1-2mm?) in the carb bushings (Solex 32-34 PDSIT-3). I gather this is a bad thing and may be part of the cause of my rough running. Where can I buy new bushings from? Is it a fairly easy push out old push in new job to do?
Many thanks

You can buy the recently refurbished by gasure ones of my carbs that were removed from my van two weeks ago. Saves you being without a van as well whilst your ones are re-furbed? :)

D'oh! I have the high bid on some webers on ebay at present! :( If it doesn't work out I'll give you a shout. how much did you want for them and why did you remove them if you just had them refurbed?

Umm, well I'd say they were done by Gasure about 18 months ago. He drilled out the originals and inserted Nylon bushes and returned them. I had been toying with the idea of replacing the carbs for ages and when the rolling road people said they were un-tuneable and they recommended a replacement pair, unfortunately I jumped!

They're yours for £10 plus a couple pf quid postage?

Cheers.
