alternative alternaters?

Post by Reco »

Anyone know of other alternaters that'll fit t25?

My sons 1.9 just given up and prefers price range of local scrappers -obviously no t25's present so do others fit? e.g passat, golf etc?? :?

Cheers

anything german with a bosch alternator should prove to be useful, some may need some slight adjustment or spacing with wahers etc, my last one came from an 80s 3 series bmw!

Thanx all! :D

Golf Mark 1 might be justas hard to find but up the amperage would be a bonus.
next best thing then is take it off and have a wander round -and maybe use a few wahers.

Not just Mk1 but Mk2 and Scirocco's will fit, possibly Polo's as well.

Also Audi 80s, 90s (probably 100s) all look the same based on my collection of odd bits. I suspect almost any VW group car prior to them adopting the ribbed belt drive mk3 Golfs etc have.
Why does the not quite finished job before last always conspire with the not quite started job after next to make what you should be doing now harder?
