can anyone tell me if it is possible to adjust the slave cylinder? (bar getting a new cylinder), as pedal is to the floor when changing gear the van has had a new clutch and box.

bled the hydraulic system, still the pedal is hitting the floor!!
Bleding clutch
Hope I am not being cheeky but, how much experience have you had of bleeding clutches? Mine was a nightmare. I eventually managed by jamming operating arm/lever solid so that there was no movement of any parts and then got a friend to press pedal, same as when bleeding brakes. Several attempts later ... a brilliant pedal. (This has maybe not explained what I mean). I have looked at your profile but no mention of your location. If you are in York I will help you with it.

Yes, you are quite right, some are ajustable, mine is, but I'm not sure you will ajust the excessive free travel out of the system that way. If it were me I would investigate moving and re-sighting the lever on the splined X shaft (can't remember if it is master splined), but only after all the other possibilities had been explored and I knew the history of the clutch (was the travel OK before the new clutch was fitted?)... I assume the correct clutch has been fitted?
Get someone to operate the clutch pedal while you check the travel on the X shaft/lever end, the push rod should have a maximum travel of approx 1.5" when set up correctly.

hi folks with the problem with the slave cylinder I got my terms wrong silly me!! I would like to know if it is possible to adjust the master clutch cylinder (the one at the front of the vehicle, behind the steering column near the floor).

yes there is an adjuster but you will have to remove the whole pedal assembly to get at it, which is a dash out job..........
If this all started after the refitting of the clutch & box I would hazard a guess that its something to do with that rather than the master cylinder as the master cylinder shouldn't really need adjusting unless removed or messed with, although it could have given up the ghost......
