DG exhaust

Post by sandcrawler »

Can anyone tell me if the exhaust systems on the early & late DG engines (1.9 petrol) are interchangable ? i have an early engine to replace the worn out late one.

both the water sys and the zorst sys are interchangeable between late and early dg's, the later one is better, but the early one cheaper....

Well Mocki owd lad, I never new that the early & late systems are interchangeable. Doesn't matter really now because I've already bought all the parts & fitting kits etc (early system) for my van.

The prices of exhaust parts has rocketed at GSF over the last few weeks.
I bought the 2 nearside manifold pipes at £19.50/£17.50 each + VAT a few weeks ago. The 2 offside manifold pipes are priced at £19.50 each + VAT in the 2007 GSF catalogue but they are now £32.50 each + VAT.

The tail pipe & fitting kit have each gone up by around £4 (excl.VAT). I did of course remember to ask for the 10% Club 80-90 discount but I am not sure if it's always given. :(
