vw fastback nearside heater not bowing,any idea lads??????

yo dudes,a bit of a non t25 question, me daughters teacher has a 1600 fastback and wants me to have a ganders,her heater on the nearside isnt blowing.any ideas as to what it might be...i havent played with an Aircooled since i sold my bay window continental camper in the early 90's......any ideas would be most appreciated

control flaps/cable stuck by sound of it (unless someones fitted a J tube that side

As said.. control flap not working..
GSF do a "repair" kit of the lever and conectors if its rusted away...
