Hi, anyone know best way to remove a hi top. It's bonded on and I just wondered if there's an easier way than banging the wall paper scraper into the sealer . It's a bit slow and uncomfortable !!
Thanks
Did one myself recently and know exactly what you mean.We scratched our heads, broke several scrapers but i found once you got a start i got an old kitchen carving knife, bent the blade and put a good edge on it and worked along, did the trick but still a pretty time consuming job.
Good luck.
James
Thanks for suggestions . Thought about hot knife but concerned about fumes , and it would cool too quick I think, once started then with kitchen knife appears the only way. Never mind, it's a winter project !!! I'd still appreciate any more suggestions.
Thanks for replies, other-power got me thinking so I had a rummage and found my black and decker scorpion saw. Brilliant!!! (so far). A bit noisy to use in the evening but, with care, I reckon a couple of hours at most on Saturday will see it off, literally !
It's already for lifting bar about 6 inches of sealer back and front. The scorpion did the trick. I used the wood/plastic blade. Had to take care not to burst through side. Managed to get off work early so decided to spend an hour on it to save time on Saturday. An hour is all it took ! My next question is what sealer do I use to fasten it back on?
Hi, cannot download file. As I am computer illiterate I cannot work out why. It keeps going over to Windows media player then I get message saying file may be corrupt (or something like that). Should maybe add that it says something about not supporting something or other. What I need to know is where can I buy tigerseal and which type do I need. Thanks for reply
