seat/seat belt question

Post by bartlby bus »

hi just looking for some more advice again im afraid

in the back of my auto sleeper it has avery simple r and r bed that that is just ply with hinges that then in turn attaches to the van using some hooks

does any one know if it is ok to use it to put a child seat in if i fit some rear seat belts

im thinking in terms of strength of the seat etc

thanks in advance again

I think JK do lap belts that fit the AS bed/seat

I'm sure that would be enough for a child seat

I'm sure you'll be fine doing that. It's the seat belt that takes all the pressure in an accident so the seat would only be a platform for the child seat to rest on. My lap belts are bolted to the chassis really well, just make sure you fit them properly (or professionally)! There's only a few child seats that will go with a lap belt... we've got maxi cosi priori for both our kids and they work fine.
