I think this AGM thing sums up the club nicely. Crying or Very sad

No just a very small minority.

I'm just popping off to my parallel universe for a bit of R & R - perhaps someone would be good enough to email once this thread reaches the bottom of the screen.

Exactly, minorities not welcome, that's the club.

how about having a go at resolving the issues rather than standing in a little huddle pointing fingers. you want to run it then run it, same people running the same old club. i have well and truly had enough of this eight person club. i am going else where.

what do you want as a club, to attract more people into the fold, or play i love diesels. you keep it to yourselves.

fortunately i like syncros because of what they do for me, and not because i want to be in the clique. I liked them back when they first came out, not just now that they are all fashionable. what was the point of the agm anyway, its all irrelevant, the shows will go on without syncronauts.

do something useful like securing future spare parts sources, be more helpful to people outside of the clique,

i well and truly feel ostersized just because i have not shown up at any of the meets, but i feel now that i would not want to.

people are people, it doesn't really matter, all this bickering is just pointless, your club ain't gonna grow. so goodcry.

and jenny please erase my membership.

So if thats the case Simon, what was this post all about..

...apologise for not taking part in the AGM, and for not having met any of you except CJ. We were on holiday without internet access at the time, and until the whole family can get in the syncro you wont see me.
That does not mean that I dont appreciate what you guys do, and would like to be more useful in the future. Keep up the good work, and I will see you all soon. Simon

1) Nobody has to apologise for not taking part in the AGM, its not mandatory and nobody has been criticised for not turning up... theres no compulsion

2) You don't seem to understand why we have an AGM... its mandatory - we cannot be affiiliated to the MSA without having a club with officers and an AGM. All motor sports clubs that want to avail themselves of the benefits of MSA membership HAVE to be so constituted.. that's it, that's all!

I really don't like reading such ill-informed vitriole in this forum, never had to before, there's no need now, nothing has happened of any import whatsoever, other than a few perhaps feeling its whipping time again, or maybe just a wee bit embarrassed at not keeping in touch... the Syncronauts have long used this forum as a meeting place and we are an internet forum club, not a meet in the pub local club that would preclude 90% of the population.. in many ways we're suffering from trailblazing here, running a free countrywide club with minimal charges for events, and eliminating the need for postage, heavy administration etc.

But communication goes both ways.... and this is the public noticeboard - failing emails, word-of-mouth or a telephone call to a mate. It's not perfect but it's where we started and what we use...

PS. Can't remember locking a thread in Syncro forum here before, but as we've set a few records this year, with the number and variety of events held this year, let's set another one...

THREAD CLOSED, due to silliness in extremis :)
