There seems to be an inference in the thread here which is not very nice to see; why do you feel the need to get at people who are serving the club so well ?

Surely if you received one email you could take that as having been notified? After that, if you were really interested, as opposed to just looking for an axe to grind; you would have made the effort to find out and get involved

nowhere in any of the posts made by the 'I didn't get the 2nd email' posters is there any malice Mark?

We've all stated a fact, nothing more

What are YOU trying to infer?

Rogerg-wagon? Well known axe grinder he is. As for the rest of them, your probably right. Much better fun to grind axes than go to syncro meets.

Its rather a case of whether the criticism/dissapointment is followed by anything constructive or whether it is just left to hang in the air like a finger pointed in accusation; as it seems to me; but maybe i'm as paranoid as the rest of you :)

Roger received no emails at all and has my complete sympathy.

Check your Junk mail.
I'm sure SN has no hand in wether your mails end up in your junk box.
Surely if you got the first mail, you knew the date, and on the evening if you didn't get in surely you would contact someone to say "I can't get in"
Theres been a sticky thread about it, for god knows how long.
No good moaning now! You should have done something on the night, when Marcus did.
How are the senders of the mail meant to know if you read your mails?!
Closing the door after the horse has bolted springs to mind.

Nothing to do with Synronauts Agm or their emails though Lloyd, that's our club80-90 server that tends to spit out notification mails in fits and spurts.. and we don't really know why. I've seen it on quite a few forums, in fact Yahoo forum notifications go haywire in a much grander fashion thatn that - like 20 mails for each notification.. and then none for a while!

===============================================

Next year will be the 3rd year that the AGM is held towards the end of October, so please make a mental note now to check this forum for a sticky thread or Announcement about the AGM next October.

It's also a good idea to ensure ahead of the day that you can log on to the AGM forum (which is set up specifically for this purpose and nothing to do with club 80-90)...

Notifications were on this forum and it (the AGM forum) was up and running a few days before the AGM took place for just this purpose...

Many thanks to Secretary Kevin for organising the AGM this year and Jenny Treasurer for her supporting role and creating the forum and arranging its hosting...

It's a new technology that avoids many people driving through dark October nights to meet somewhere in middle Britain for an hour or two and then driving home again... that's what the French Syncro club do*... I've just been told!

To those for whatever reason that couldn't make it, I hope you're happy with the Committee this coming year and the general outcomes from the discussions. Our main remit is to run a programme of events, and see no reason why this coming year shouldn't be just as successful as the last one.

*well, to middle France sometime during the year :)

Not singling you out, just from the undertones of this thread it seems that some people fear a conspiracy, and there isn't.

Everyone had a chance to join the AGM, everyone got at least the first e-mail, if you/they were that arsed they would have looked on the night rather than moaning days/weeks afterwards.

Are we done now????

We could have an "Actual" AGM like the french club....

Out of 70 odd members we had over 35 turn up... would that happen at the club 80-90 one???

Just a thought!!!
