Bending was the worry, it being memory foam 'n' all. that it would end staying bent

Seems there's a bit of confusion here :D
We have the momory foam rolled up in the back and when we need the bed we pull the R&R bed out, unroll the memory foam topper put a fleecy blanket or sheet or even a sleeping bag on top of the foam and then pillows and a quilt.....
Tiz very comfy and much softer than the German made beds. They dop seem to be very hard.... now ~i like a hardish mattress but not that hard it's likened to sleeping on a park bench!!

The memory foam is fine rolled up when not in use, it only has short term memory :? if you know what I mean!!

ok so you are sleeping on 3 small matresses which make up a standard rock n roll bed, then you roll out a memory foam matress on top of that. am i right?

Yes........ we are sleeping on the full width R&R bed/seat that is folded out into a bed.... on it's own it would be fine, if you like an incredibly hard bed but we don't....
So to make it more comfy, when the bed is in the upright seating position the rolled up memory foam is stored behind it over the engine bay....still have lots of room for storage in the boot.

Then when we are using it for sleeping on we pull the seat out into a bed and just unroll the mattress and place it on top.

A 1" thick memory foam mattress rolls up quite small and we secure it with a bungee cord to stop it unrolling...

can you picture it now??
