Bumpers from JK or GSF

Post by colouredFunk »

Hello,

Our van is having a full respray so I'm going to finish it with some nice new (striaght!) bumpers!

Has anyone bought black bumpers from JK or GFS? are they any good?

Are they ready to go on or they need to be painted?

Cheers

I bought some from just kampers, they were not wide enough by about 20mm and are now rusting 2years old.

I bought a new set when I had the respray done 18 months ago, the front one has atiny spec of paint lift/rust on one corner and needs a polish for it to shine, apart from that no problems and fitted well.

just got a set from JK plus endcaps.
they are tight but fit with persuasion :?
Both had corners bent when they arrived, down to poor packing and mostly numptie courier who dropped it. I straightened them out with an adjustable spanner and some cardboard in the jaws to protect the paint. came out ok. have a look at "respray photos" thread in modified if you want to see them.

£70 front.

but when VW wrap them in brown paper they are perfectly acceptable, sold them on to some mick who's not complained yet :rofl

JK GSF ones are rubbish imho; Russel I would have spent the extra £60, wish we had.

To be fair, it's only primer and they want painting anyway, which means rubbing them down, which means removing the scratches that they come with.
