Broke down today.....

Post by futurecut »

Got a 1.9 DG with 126K- Broke down today.

Fuel filter clean and full- tank reads 1/2 full.

Came on as Kangaroo style like firing on 3 only then starts to backfire so i' though timing? But Carb not getting fuel from main jet so

maybe line blockage? or Carb Failure? Shouldn't be an air bubble.

What mileage do piebergs start to die?

Also getting a loud PSST when trying to crank her up. Unless it's the pump. I've got a spare but carb looked a bit messy. Got one from an 85K engine- worth swapping now anyway?

Brakedown cover worth every penny at £42 europewide.

Fortunately i picked up an engine and all the ancilliaries for £1oo the other day. It came out of a van with 85K on the clock so i though it was worth getting it and holding onto it until min gives up the ghost. Glad i di dnow....
