Exhaust smoking and higher fuel consumption - AAZ

Post by thenaylortribe »

Ladies and germs...my AAZ bus has recently started smoking under acceleration (enough for me to see it in the mirror) and the fuel consumption has increased significantly...nothing obvious under the lid...any ideas?

LDA / hose / diaphragm ?air filter? replaced/cleaned mine as full o sh$te and oil - if the engine was overfuelling at low revs would it do this ? if it has started doing this and you havnt replaced belt/tinkered with pump/touched anything , look for sonething worn/stuck/dirty :?:

I came from 1.9DG petrol giving about 23-25mpg.
Normally I get 30-35(depends how heavy my shoes are) round town mpg
on a run..nearer 40mpg.

Currently with smoke i'm getting about 25-30
