Just a quick one, does a 1984 side door fit a 1981 Aircooled I've forgotten. :?

ummmm are you sure....

think my 1980 had different catches on the front pillar to my 1984......

Maybe best to have a visula comparison first?

The model year that the sliding door changed was 1985. The later one has the rear stricker pin and latch at an angle. I guess it is a little close to call, and as you say, better to be sure.

Simon,

what was immediately different is the catch plate on the front pillar. My camper (A) reg just has a flat plate, but the Aircooled had a catch system in the same place.???
