camping trailer ideas!

Post by murdoch »

just got hold of this single wheeled trailer, thought it would make a handy camping trailer with a few mods. i doesn't articulate so you can reverse as if its not there, all that happens is the rear wheel spins to the other direction! Would like a few ideas on best way to approach it though, before i start chopping it about. i had in mind a sort of box shape with a door to get at me stuff, and possibly a rack for the bikes too, what do you think?? all help/views welcome

Like you say with a box thing going on and maybe a rack this could look the bizz. I would be tempted to go down the retro road. Great looking trailer. Love the single wheel look.

It doesn't like spaces in the file name.
1989 VW T25 Holdsworth Villa 3

It's got a VW motor, a 116.8 cubic inch plant, Michelin tyres, VW suspension, VW shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas. What do you say, is it the new RedSquirrel bus or what?

thanks red squirrel ill remember that one!
it was made for a mobility scooter , the alloy sides drop down and two telescopic ramps can be slid out from underneath and placed on to the bed to drive the scooter on, took it in px from a customer.
i will have to stand the jockey wheels out a little as they will foul the body of the trailer, may even use a 12v actuator wich i've got to push down some feet/ castors removing the need for them alltogether, dont know yet
(got all winter). found some old school inspiration at www.singlewheel.com there are some great single wheel trailers on that site
