that's the TDI pinzgauer the modern one with a 5 cylinder vw diesel lump i believe. Very nice and very very expensive. You can get older petrol ones cheaper though.

yeh its a Pinzgauer, the syncros big brother. They used to be made by Steyr Puch who are responsible for the syncro 4x4 system.

The one in the pic is one of the new ones now made in England and much quicker than the old ones.

I can take as many shots as you like, what do you want to see? I'll post some more later in the week.

They dont have the on road handleing of a syncro, similar to an old swing axle bug in fact, had a couple of scary moments on the way to shouts with the wheels tucking under

If you have that first shot at a higher definition than 800x600, so when you click on it you get the full high res photo, would be good for starters...

Sounds scary. I wonder if all Pinz's do that

can take up to 9 mp, have to scale down for this site.

all pinz's do that look at the camber of the wheels in the photo, good off road terrible on road, masive camber change on each wheel, i.e only one joint on the inside of each axel

7 or 8.... I was there for 5 years and been in France 3.5 now...
They deffo had the Unimog in Laxey when we moved to IoM.. but was replaced quite soon by the Pinz.. big thing in the paper IIRC... better acess and responce times with the Pinz...
The old V8 series 3 was replaced by one too... nearly had a big on it.. only got 23k miles and was about one of the last SIII 109's... IIRC..

Planning a trip over next year... will be in the syncro.. so should be up for a few lanes???
