South African T3 Caravelle questions

I'm looking at servicing our newly acquired 1993 S.A T3, so I've a few questions to ask. Firstly the front and rear brakes could do with an overhaul, would I be right in thinking that these vans share the same brakes as the late UK T3, also need to do an oil change and I'd like to know what grade of oil is specified for the 2.5i Audi engine, lastly for now is the ignition timing, I don't have a owners hand book/instruction manual so does anyone owning one of these vans know what the ignition timing should be set at, mine has be retarded some what to run low octane fuel and I what to put the timing back to what it should be.



Any help would be appreciated.
