The oracle according to Dr.Haynes says that the Air Filter is an 'Extended Service Item' & should be changed every 20,000 miles (30,000Km) or 2years.

I have always considered it to be an annual service item eg. 10-12,000 miles, not that any vehicle I have ever owned has done anything like that sort of mileage.

My van is insured for 3,000 miles a year so after a year I just turn the fiter round & use it for a second year.
